The 2027 Toyota bZ comes in just three grades in Canada, which makes it one of the simpler EVs to shop for. But the gaps between them are big: about $7,400 from the base XLE to the XLE AWD, and another $8,300 to the Limited. Here are the official 2027 Toyota bZ prices for each one, what you get for the money and which grade makes the most sense.

2027 bZ prices

Grade Drive Battery MSRP Estimated vehicle price
XLE FWD 57.7 kWh $45,985 $49,067
XLE AWD AWD 77 kWh $53,405 $56,487
Limited AWD AWD 77 kWh $61,685 $64,767

Toyota's estimated vehicle price adds freight and PDI, the A/C charge and maximum dealer and other fees to the MSRP, for a total of $3,082 on every grade. Taxes, licence, insurance and registration are extra. Any federal or provincial EV incentive that applies at the time of purchase would be separate from these prices, so check current programs before you sign.

How 2027 compares with 2026

Toyota has kept pricing almost exactly where it was. Based on the official 2026 MSRPs:

Grade 2026 MSRP 2027 MSRP Change
XLE $45,990 $45,985 −$5
XLE AWD $53,390 $53,405 +$15
Limited AWD $61,690 $61,685 −$5

At the same time, Toyota now includes CCS and J1772 charging adapters with every bZ. For 2026, owners could order a Toyota-approved adapter through their dealer. That makes the 2027 a slightly better deal at essentially the same price.

If a dealer still has a new 2026 bZ on the lot, the most notable difference Toyota lists is those included adapters, so factor in the cost of buying one when you negotiate.

bZ XLE: $45,985

The entry-level bZ uses front-wheel drive and a 57.7 kWh battery for 168 hp and up to 380 km of range. It is far from basic:

  • 18-inch alloy wheels and a ducktail rear spoiler
  • 14-inch Toyota Multimedia touchscreen and a 7-inch digital gauge cluster
  • Heated front seats, a power driver's seat and SofTex-and-fabric upholstery
  • Heated steering wheel with regenerative braking paddles
  • Power back door with kick sensor
  • Two-zone climate control and 64-colour ambient lighting
  • Dual wireless chargers, three USB ports, SiriusXM and a digital key
  • Auto-dimming rear-view mirror with garage door opener
  • Six-speaker audio, Drive Mode Select and a driver monitor camera
  • Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, Parking Support Brake, and Blind Spot Monitor with Safe Exit Assist

Who it's for: city and suburban drivers who want an affordable, well-equipped EV and don't need all-wheel drive.

bZ XLE AWD: $53,405

For $7,420 more, you get the bigger 77 kWh battery and a dual-motor setup that doubles output to 338 hp. The 2026 model's AWD versions could do 0 to 100 km/h in about 5.1 seconds, according to Toyota. Range rises to up to 468 km, the highest in the lineup.

The XLE AWD keeps the XLE's equipment and adds X-Mode with Grip Control, Multi-Terrain Select, Downhill Assist, Crawl Control and roof rails.

Who it's for: most Canadian buyers. If you face snowy roads, cottage drives or long highway trips, this is the grade we would pick. It has the longest range, double the power and AWD.

bZ Limited AWD: $61,685

The Limited uses the same 338-hp AWD powertrain and adds a long list of comfort and technology upgrades:

  • 20-inch black machined alloy wheels and an aero spoiler
  • Panoramic glass roof with a power shade
  • Nine-speaker JBL Premium Audio
  • Heated and ventilated power front seats with driver memory
  • Radiant front-seat heater and heated rear seats
  • Full SofTex upholstery
  • Advanced Park and the Panoramic View Monitor
  • Digital rear-view mirror and rear camera washer
  • Traffic Jam Assist and Lane Change Assist

There is a trade-off. The larger wheels reduce range. For 2026, Toyota estimated the Limited AWD's range at 436 km, versus 468 km for the XLE AWD, and Natural Resources Canada rated it at 18.6 kWh/100 km combined against 17.3 for the XLE AWD. Toyota's 2027 release does not restate a Limited range figure.

Who it's for: buyers who want a near-luxury EV with the latest driver-assistance features and heated everything for winter.

Value: what does each step cost?

Here is another way to look at the lineup. Going from the XLE to the XLE AWD costs $7,420 and adds 170 hp, a larger battery, all-wheel drive, off-road traction modes and up to 88 km more range. That is a lot for the money.

Going from the XLE AWD to the Limited costs $8,280 and adds comfort and convenience, but no extra performance and slightly less range. Unless you specifically want the panoramic roof, ventilated seats and Advanced Park, the XLE AWD is the value pick.

The bottom line

The 2027 bZ's pricing is easy to understand: $45,985 for the efficient front-drive XLE, $53,405 for the long-range XLE AWD, and $61,685 for the fully loaded Limited. With charging adapters now in the box and prices unchanged, the 2027 is a better buy than the 2026, and the XLE AWD is the grade that makes the most sense for most Canadians.
