Which trim is right for you?
Ford Canada describes the trims this way:
- Base: "focused on providing value in the essentials and a great canvas for customization." The lowest price of entry for buyers who plan to add accessories.
- Big Bend: "balances capability with comfort," with more available off-road features and the available Mid Package.
- Outer Banks: colour-matched roof and fender flares, larger wheels, Mid Package standard, and the 10-speed automatic standard. This is the most road-friendly choice.
- Badlands: "the most factory-customizable model," with a wide range of off-road and interior options.
- Heritage Edition: historic design touches, with the Sasquatch Package standard.
- Stroppe Edition: styled for Baja desert racing in honour of racer and Bronco builder Bill Stroppe, and the only trim with the 2.7L V6 as standard.
- Raptor: "the largest amount of trail technology and upgrades," with the 418-hp 3.0L V6.

Engines and transmissions
The Bronco uses three EcoBoost engines:
- 2.3L I-4: 300 hp and 325 lb-ft, standard from Base to Heritage Edition.
- 2.7L V6: 330 hp and 415 lb-ft, standard on the Stroppe Edition.
- 3.0L V6: 418 hp and 440 lb-ft, Raptor only.
Base, Big Bend, Badlands and Heritage Edition come standard with a 7-speed manual, which is rare in a new SUV today. The Outer Banks, Stroppe Edition and Raptor use a 10-speed automatic.
Four-wheel drive
Every 2026 Bronco sold in Canada is 4x4, from the $51,765 Base to the Raptor. Off-road hardware rises through the line-up, with the Badlands, the Sasquatch-equipped Heritage Edition and the Raptor aimed at the hardest trails.
Towing capacity
According to Ford Canada, the Raptor tows up to 2,041 kg (4,500 lb), and the other series tow up to 1,587 kg (3,500 lb). On trims other than the Raptor you need extra equipment, such as the available Trailer Tow Package, before hitching a trailer. The Raptor includes an upgraded tow package as standard. See Bronco towing capacity.
Fuel consumption
Natural Resources Canada's 2026 ratings put the Bronco at about 12.0 to 15.3 L/100 km combined, depending on engine and transmission. The V6 versions sit at the higher end. See our Bronco fuel economy guide.
Two-door or four-door?
The Bronco comes as a two-door or a four-door. The two-door is shorter and more nimble on tight trails, while the four-door makes rear-seat access and daily family use easier. Compare them in Bronco 2-door vs 4-door.
Recall to know about
Transport Canada recall 2026356 covers certain 2021–2026 Broncos, including the Raptor. The engine wiring harness may not be protected enough and could short circuit, creating a fire risk. Dealers will add protection and repair or replace the harness at no charge. Read the recall explained and check all recalls.
Bronco Sport: the smaller option
The Bronco Sport is a separate, smaller SUV. Ford.ca Build & Price (Ontario, October 13, 2026) lists:
| Bronco Sport trim | MSRP | Engine | Transmission |
|---|---|---|---|
| Big Bend | $39,395 | 1.5L EcoBoost, 180 hp / 200 lb-ft | 8-speed automatic |
| Heritage | $42,795 | 1.5L EcoBoost, 180 hp / 200 lb-ft | 8-speed automatic |
| Outer Banks | $43,495 | 1.5L EcoBoost, 180 hp / 200 lb-ft | 8-speed automatic |
| Badlands | $47,795 | 2.0L EcoBoost, 250 hp / 280 lb-ft | 8-speed automatic |
Every Bronco Sport trim is 4x4. Freight is $2,395. NRCan rates it at about 8.6–10.1 L/100 km combined. Compare both in Bronco vs Bronco Sport or read the 2026 Bronco Sport guide.
