On certain vehicles, there could be a problem inside the high-voltage battery. As a result, the high-voltage battery cells could short circuit.

Corrective Actions
To reduce the safety risk, Volvo advises that you should limit the vehicle's maximum state of charge to no more than 70% until the recall repairs have been completed. Volvo will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and replace battery modules, as necessary.
