Transport Canada

2 safety recalls on file for the 2026 Rivian R1T Large Plus.

Visual SystemUnder certain conditions, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image to be blocked.2026 · Recall 2026-443 · 2026-09-17 · 1,958 vehicles in Canada

Issue

Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image to be blocked. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display while the transmission is in reverse gear.

Safety Risk

A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions

Rivian will notify owners by email. Rivian has released an over-the-air software update to fix this problem. There is no further action required if your vehicle has software release 2026.23.0 or a later release.

Lights And InstrumentsThe front turn signal lamps may not have been manufactured properly.2026 · Recall 2025-314 · 2025-06-11 · 284 vehicles in Canada

Issue

On certain vehicles, the front turn signal lamps may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, one or both front turn signals may not work, and the vehicles may not meet certain requirement of Canadian regulations.

Note: This problem would cause a "Turn signal lights not working. Service it soon." message to be displayed.

Safety Risk

Front turn signals that don't work may cause a person not to recognize when a driver intends to turn or change lanes and could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Rivian will notify owners by email and advise you to take your vehicle to a Rivian service center to inspect and, if necessary, replace the front turn signal lamps.
